Integritetspolicy
This Privacy Policy explains how Fyndvakten (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares personal data when you use our website and related services.
1. Who we are
Fyndvakten is the controller of personal data processed through this service. Contact: privacy@fyndvakten.se.
2. Data we collect
- Account data — email address and password (stored hashed).
- Subscription data — Stripe customer/subscription identifiers and status. Payment card details are processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers.
- Alert data — keywords, selected stores, and match history.
- Technical data — IP address (used for approximate geolocation to sort nearby stores), browser type, and basic request logs.
- Communications — emails we send you (e.g. alert notifications) and related delivery metadata from our email provider.
3. How we use data
- Provide and secure the service (authentication, subscriptions, alerts).
- Sort stores and content by approximate proximity using IP-based location.
- Send transactional email (alert hits, billing-related messages).
- Improve reliability, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
4. Legal bases (GDPR)
Where GDPR applies, we process data based on: contract performance (account and paid features), legitimate interests (security, product improvement, approximate geolocation for UX), and consent where required (e.g. non-essential cookies).
5. Sharing
We use processors such as hosting providers, Stripe (payments), and SendGrid (email). They process data on our instructions. We do not sell your personal data.
6. Retention
We keep account and alert data while your account is active. After deletion or prolonged inactivity we remove or anonymize data within a reasonable period, unless we must retain it for legal or billing reasons. Logs are retained for a limited operational window.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export your data, and to object to certain processing. You can exercise several of these rights yourself while signed in:
- Access / portability — download a JSON copy of your account information from Profile → Privacy & data.
- Erasure — permanently delete your account and related personal data from the same section (password confirmation required), once you have no active subscription. If you still have an active subscription, email support@fyndvakten.se so we can cancel billing and erase your data. Stripe may retain billing records as required by law.
- Correction — update communication preferences on your profile, or contact us to correct other personal data.
You may also contact privacy@fyndvakten.se to exercise these rights, and lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (in Sweden: Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY).
8. International transfers
Some processors may process data outside your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
9. Children
The service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
10. Changes
We may update this policy periodically. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
